Meet the Leaders
Sophie El-Hallal
Sophie El-Hallal is a 16 years old junior in High School and has been homeschooled all her life. Some of her favorite activities are musical theater and dancing—specifically competitive Irish dancing. Her other hobbies include singing really loud around the house, baking, and having a personal dance party to Christian music in her family room. She also loves babies, St. Therese, flowers, sunsets, fall, marshmallows, goldfish, and Disney movies. lf she were to go anywhere in the world she would go to the Holy Land or Rome. Other than that, she's known for being very loud when putting away dishes and very slow in getting jokes (even puns believe it or not.) Also…she love Jesus!!! :D

Faith Busche
Faith Busche is a 16 year old junior at Damascus High School. She is a forward for her school's varsity field hockey team as well as a goalie for the school's varsity lacrosse team. She is also Junior Class President as well as a member of many clubs because she's crazy and joins literally everything. Her other hobbies include pranking as many people as she can (priests included), having impromptu dance parties in public to embarrass those around her, and being overly-excited about pretty much everything. She's a New York Yankees fan, has two bearded dragons, loves just about anything that involves the outdoors, going to adoration when she gets the chance, and she is also part of the Archdiocesan Youth Leadership Team.
Alexia Ayuk
Alexia Ayuk is a 16 year old junior at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. She loves to argue and is on her school’s debate team. In her free time, she likes to read, make (and eat) breakfast food, and watch documentaries about almost anything. She’s not a very big sports fan but can get very competitive when playing games. At school, she is involved in Campus Ministry and helps organize retreats and religious activities. Also, she loves to go to Saturday morning mass with her mom. Her dream place to visit is Croatia because the water is so blue, and the architecture is so beautiful. Even though she isn’t a big sports fan, one of her favorite movies is The Sandlot, a movie about baseball. Additionally, she likes to quote really obscure movie lines and vines.
Juancarlos Ramirez
Hey! I’m Juancarlos, and I’m a senior at Magruder High School. I’m also one of the swim captains of the team there and I also swim for the Rockville Montgomery Swim Club. I’m also a serving member of the Archdiocese Youth Leadership Team. I have two dogs, a Goldie named Sandy and a husky mix named Lady. I’m a total history buff with my favorite time period being the 1800’s USA and Victorian Britain. I’m pretty good with church doctrine and history too. I'm just as big of a science geek though with a love for astronomy and studying animals and plants and how they interact with each other. I like to study church teaching, and speak openly about what I think and welcome any question you have! If you ever want to talk, my door’s always open!
Catherine Hiles
Catherine Hiles is a 16 year old junior at Clarksburg High School. She is captain of the color guard in her high school's marching band and one of the head ASL interpreters for the theatre program at her school. Some of her hobbies include taking photos, crocheting and spending time with her friends. She loves making people laugh, taking care of little kids(especially babies), listening to music (dancing to it), visiting her family, going to the beach, horse back riding when she gets the chance and watching movies. Above all she loves adoration and spending time with our Lord.
Arianna Tello
Hey guys! My name is Arianna Tello and I am one of the youth group leaders at SJN. I am a 9th grader at DHS. My favorite things do to in my free time is hang out with my best friends, sleep and eat. I am a very fun and crazy person but don’t be scared to talk to me (: ! Can’t wait to see you guys at youth group.
